There is nothing complex in using the toolkit. The following are the steps involved:

• Downloaded the toolkit from the developers site.
• Unzip the toolkit.
• Open up the folder, and click on the green Android icon.
• Enter into bootloader by pressing  the volume down and power buttons.
• Once in bootloader, plug your Nexus 5 into your PC via USB cable.
• Just follow the onscreen instructions.
